Congo Clothing was founded by DeAunt Robinson (aka Wop), a native New Orleanian with a passion for both history and fashion. Named after the historical Congo Square, where slaves would gather on Sundays to express their culture and sell products to purchase their freedom, Congo is a brand focused on teaching black history through clothes.

We make products inspired by the many accomplishments of the African Americans before us, as well as those who are currently still breaking barriers, achieving great things. Congo is the merging of our rich African American history and unique fashion into wearable history.
